The Blüthner Model 2 is an impressive German wing piano from Blüthner in Leipzig, from the models identified with the hot, deep and rich sound that has made the manufacturer one of the most important names in the world of the piano. With a length of 230 cm, the Model 2 offers an exceptional combination of strength, depth and expression, along with subtle control even at the most quiet dynamic levels. One of Blüthner’s unique features is the Aliquot system — another quarter in the upper area of the piano, which is not directly powered by the patch, but combines with the protective grids, adding to the depth, color, and unique codes. Julius Loutner founded his workshop in Leipzig in 1853, until 1900 Loutner was one of the world’s largest and most respected piano makers, and was chosen by Brahms, Debussy, and Khraminnov. The company’s unique Aliquot adds a fourth in the upper half of the piano that enriches the sound with the brand’s unique golden glow and hotness. The instrument is now in full renovation in our workshop, and this Model 6 will offer the lightweight mechanics and the vocal and romantic sound that honors Loutner’s piano wing.
